To Be Young, Gifted & Black is where it's at . . .
While college can be a high-stakes and expensive decision, an investment in a college education is still a positive life-changing decision, especially for Americans of African descent. Choosing, and being chosen by, a college is one of the first and most important decisions in your life. For any high-achieving teen, applying to highly competitive colleges and universities can be overwhelming and anxiety-ridden. But the Black teen is often not encouraged to pursue this path or compete.
Secure your teen a coach with over 25+ years as an insider.
Our mission is to prepare our young people for the most competitive environments - for them to operate in their inherent excellence . . . so that no opportunity is beyond their reach - they will be ready and able to apply and be admitted to competitive schools like Harvard, Howard, Wellesley, Spelman and Morehouse, and choose to go wherever they'd like - because that's true freedom!
They will be so well prepared they'll be a success wherever they choose to go and whatever they choose to do!!
WHAT IS IT?
For Middle School
and High School Students
College Prep Coaching that also includes:
Leading into my daughter's junior year of high school, we engaged and encouraged any opportunities that allowed her to build skills in her career goals. It was going well...until it "got real" and she started the application process. She became paralyzed with self-doubt and insecurity. She was stuck. When I met Coach Pamm, I was impressed by her depth of knowledge and how natural and practical her suggestions were. Her approach with my daughter was equally effortless. She had conversations with my daughter to glean her desires, skill sets, and career goals. My daughter relaxed, completed her applications, and was accepted to every school she applied. I credit Coach Pamm for getting her to the finish line and sparing our nerves. 😉

SHIP ONE
The history of Americans of African descent is one of disenfranchised citizenship. Even today, the struggle continues for full rights and privileges, which can be combated with strong cultural pride and identity and knowing our history. All students are encouraged to have a global view with a local impact, becoming full-fledged citizens wherever they may be.
SHIP TWO
With a focus on academic excellence in traditional school settings, the ultimate goal is to become a life-long learner/scholar. This component also includes test-taking skills and time management. Outside partners provide guidance for those seeking financial scholarships (grants and fellowships).
SHIP THREE
Every child is born to lead, in one way or another. We identify each teen's unique gifts, talents, strengths and abilities, while growing and/or enhancing communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
SHIP FOUR
Using a Biblical perspective, becoming producers rather than consumers, not only financially literate, but also masters of money, is the goal. Concepts include compounding, net worth vs. gross income, investing, and philanthropy for a foundation as an exceptional steward.
SHIP FIVE
Preparing for the 21st century work/marketplace: where trading time for dollars (with no pension, no job security, no paid health benefits, nor sufficient time off) can easily leave one bankrupt, if not financially, then emotionally and/or spiritually. Equipped with entrepreneurial skills provides options for unlimited income potential and freedom: as an employee with a side hustle, an independent contractor, or business owner/entrepreneur with multiple streams of income.
SHIPS TO FREEDOM
Success in life is all about relationships. It's not just what you know, but who you know, and more importantly, who knows you! No one succeeds alone. You don't have to go alone. Connect with like-minded individuals here in a community committed to the high achievement and excellence of Black teens.
